On January 4, 2023, the Zone 5 Committee was proud to present Chelsea Truong, of Victoria Golf Club, with the 2022 Junior Player of the Year Award. 

The Zone 5 Jr. Player Of The Year Award Was Presented By Carol Thompson (L), Junior Chair & Bonnie Fung (R), Zone Chair

Chelsea finished 2nd in the BC Girls Juvenile (U17) Championship and 6th in the BC Girls Junior (U19) adding a 12th place finish in the BC Women's Amateur and landing in 10th on the BC Junior Girls OOM, all as a 16-year old.

Chelsea was also recognized as the 2022 Oak Bay High Jr. Girls Athlete of the year. While Chelsea has another year to complete high school, she has given her verbal commitment to sign with the University of New Mexico NCAA Division I Women's Golf team to become a 'Lobo' for the 2023-24 season.
