T-Jay Creamer Takes Head Superintendent Job At Olympic View
The well-regarded Assistant Superintendent at Victoria Golf Club will be moving across the city...
In a Twitter post, Creamer (@TJayC17) said, “Excited to announce that I have accepted the Superintendent’s position at Olympic View Golf Club. I am extremely thankful to @jpaulrobertson (Victoria GC’s Head Superintendent) the Links Team & the members of Victoria Golf Club for the opportunity to contribute and grow in my many years at VGC!”
At Olympic View, he will be following in the footsteps of Brett Finlayson (@BrettFinlayson) who had become Director of Grounds Maintenance for the entire GolfBC Group, who replied, “@golfbc and myself are really excited about you joining our team and helping us take course conditions to new levels!”
Creamer has been a Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) member since 2016 and has been with the Victoria Golf Club (VGC) for 14+ seasons, the last 8 years as the Assistant Superintendent of Links.
T-Jay brings a very impressive resume with him that includes a BSc from Penn State and an award for being named the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) Inaugural Assistant Superintendent of the Year in 2017.
At the time, Victoria GC Head Superintendent Paul Robertson (who nominated T-Jay for this award) said, “T-Jay has become our greatest asset embodying all the characteristics of a great assistant and ultimately the ideal superintendent. He has the depth, diversity, dedication, and the dynamic management skills necessary to be a star in our industry. The ultimate goal of an assistant is to become a golf course superintendent. When I think of the perfect golf course superintendent, I think of T-Jay Creamer.”
