Pheasant Glen Submits Plans for New Clubhouse and Lodge
Pheasant Glen Golf Resort announced at the start of March that plans for its new Clubhouse and Lodge have been submitted to the Town of Qualicum Beach.
The development marks a significant milestone for the resort.
Bill Dutton, the owner of Pheasant Glen Golf Resort, expressed his excitement about the project.
“I am thrilled to witness the realization of our family’s vision with this crucial step forward. We’re proud of the project plans, which have been the outcome of collaborative efforts with the local community and planning experts, and inspired by our stunning natural environment.”
Construction will include a new clubhouse, restaurant & brew pub, meeting rooms, spa, outdoor recreation facilities, biking, walking, and hiking trails connected to the Town of Qualicum Beach trail system.
Town staff will now review the plans before presenting them to Council. The resort anticipates receiving approval and construction to begin later this year.
The development is expected to generate major economic activity in the area and create job opportunities for locals. According to the Resort’s release, it is expected to generate more than $200 million in economic activity for the local area.
There have also been some other benefits related to the project. According to an April 7th Facebook post, homeowners who are currently using septic fields will be able to connect to the sewer line they are building.
“We've started construction on a sanitary sewer line for the Pheasant Glen Resort Community that will also allow homeowners using septic systems to connect and protect our water. The project is starting at the Qualicum Beach Airport. We're proud to be working with the Town of Qualicum Beach to protect water for current and future residents.”
