Rainey has been a member of the Zone 5 Women’s Committee for the last 24 years. Along the way, she has also served other committees such as Cedar Hill Ladies Executive, Player Dev. Trust Fund, Zone Council, BCGA Volunteer Awards and the V.I Senior Ladies.
On the tournament side, she has hosted or co-hosted the B.C. Amateur, Senior and Junior Championships along with the Canadian Men’s Senior at Gorge Vale, Junior Girls Americas Cup held at Royal Colwood and the 100th Anniversary Celebrations for the BCGA Women’s Amateur at Victoria Golf Club.
While her golf clubs are now in the closet, she can still proudly proclaim 11 Hole-In-Ones and at one time being a single-digit handicap golfer!

Father / Son Win Island Open
Victoria GC's Head Professional Lindsay Bernakevitch and son Luke took early control of one of the Island's most popular tournaments.
A first-round 61 in the Open Gross division of the two-man best ball competition was more than enough to put it on cruise control for round two.
There are three different divisions (Open Gross, Net Amateur, and Open Senior Gross) with a total of 50 teams competing. Any team which includes a professional golfer plays in an Open division.
In the Senior Open Gross, Mike Mannion Mark Dupuy won with a 139 total while Christopher Hut and Sam Stephenson won the Amateur Net with 128.
