LARGEST FIELD IN TOURNAMENT HISTORY TEES OFF AT CROWN ISLE
July 5-6, Island pairs took three of the top five spots at the popular two-day G&G Golf Brands & Callaway Golf PGA of BC Pro-Assistant Championship… now in its 31st year.
Two teams from Victoria GC (Lindsay Bernakevitch / Mark Bicknell, Richard Ingle / Gord Scutt) were joined by Mike Heenan & Eddward Boudreau from Gorge Vale in a tie for second. Each team split $1,533.33. Bernakevitch & Mark Bicknell also won a skin worth $386.67 with an eagle on Crown Isle’s first hole. The winning team (Ryan Tofani & Zach Olson from Chilliwack Golf Club) posted a stellar 61 in the final round.
The 60-team field topped the previous record of 50 teams from 2021.

ISLAND PROS COMPETE IN SENIORS CHAMPIONSHIPS AT SANDPIPER
The PGA of BC Seniors' Championship is open to any member of the association aged 50 or older at the start of competition and 36 PGA of BC members 50+ tee’d it up. Congrats to Eddward Boudreau from Gorge Vale Golf Club who finished tied second earning $875.00, Randy Frank of Olympic View Golf Club (T11 and $205) and Jeff Palmer (T14 and $166.25). OTHER TOURNAMENT RESULTS
May 30, Nanaimo GC hosted the Tournament of Champions. Congratulations to Point Grey G&CC Professional @zibbygolf and Amateur Jeff Dagg on bringing home the trophy for the second year in a row! At the PGA of BC Assistants' & Seniors' Championships at Sandpiper, ’21 PGA of BC Champion Jake Scarrow (Gorge Vale Golf Club) placed fifth while Nate Ollis from Cordova Bay Golf Club came in 7th.
 

MEMBERS ON THE MOVE

APRIL
• Sean Hay's application to the PGA of Canada has been approved and he becomes an Apprentice Professional at Uplands Golf Club
• Isaac Morris's application to the PGA of Canada has been approved and he becomes an Apprentice Professional at Victoria Golf Club
• Coulton Sheets' application to the PGA of Canada has been approved and he becomes an Apprentice Professional at Fairwinds Golf Club
• Richard Ingle has transferred from the Alberta Zone and joins Victoria Golf Club as Executive Professional
• Evan Dyki has left Bear Mountain Golf Resort and joins Royal Colwood Golf Club as an Apprentice Professional
• Andrew Johnson has successfully completed the National Training Program and becomes a Class "A" Professional at Cowichan Golf Club
• Eva Kovacs has joined Cedar Hill Golf Course as a Teaching Professional
• Craig Rencher has left Cedar Hill Golf Club and his application for Life Professional Designation has been approved by the PGA of Canada

MAY
• Doug Hastie has left British Columbia Golf where he served as Manager of Field Operations/Tournament Director and has joined Golf Canada as their Regional Director, Western Canada
• Robert Larocque's Executive Professional application has been approved and he becomes Executive Professional at Bear Mountain Golf & Tennis Resort
• Jordan Murphy becomes Head Professional at Bear Mountain Golf & Tennis Resort
• Travis Busch has left Pheasant Glen Golf Resort and joins Fairwinds Golf Club as Head Professional (May 23rd)
• Mark Valliere has left Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community and joins Glacier Greens Golf Club as an Apprentice Professional

• Robert Ratcliffe has left Bear Mountain Golf & Tennis Resort and goes to Golf Canada as a Teaching Professional
• Kayli Melissa's application to the PGA of Canada has been approved and joins Pheasant Glen Golf Resort
• Gord Melissa's Executive Professional application has been approved and he becomes Executive Professional at Pheasant Glen Golf Resort
• Ross Mantell becomes Head Professional at Pheasant Glen Golf Resort
