They are implementing “Circuit Breaker Restrictions and will not take any bookings from golfers living outside of VIHA health region until May 25, 2021. Said General Manager, Jeff Palmer, “We look forward to ensuring a safe environment and welcoming back travellers after the May long weekend.”

F&B Man Fred Green says, “In accordance [with] the Circuit Breaker restrictions, our indoor dining area is closed but we have extended our patio for outdoor enjoyment. We are open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and as the weather warms up, we will look to extend our hours.”

Finally, all those using their driving range now must check in with the golf shop and sign a contact tracing form. The range is now open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Tapping Out

Highland Pacific is doing their part to save water by drilling another well on the property. Superintendent Geoff Sheffield says, “I am thrilled to announce the installation of an additional water well here at Highland Pacific Golf. We have installed this new well behind Highland #2 green and it will provide the course with a new water source which will help keep the driving range and course green for the much of the year.”

In other course construction news, players may have also noticed the start of a new short game area adjacent to the practice green near the first tee. Sand capping will begin soon and it may open by September.
