PGA NEWS

Morningstar GC Welcomes New HP Mike Loewen

In a social media post, "We are so excited to be welcoming Mike Loewen (above), our new Head Professional, to our Morningstar team! Mike officially started on Monday, March 27th and enjoyed a sunny start to his first day (aren’t all our days sunny here at the coast?)
Mike comes to us from the Okanagan where he was the Head Professional at Sunset Ranch Golf and Country Club since 2016. He was also HP at Canoe Creek (now called Shuswap National) and Assistant Professional at Predator Ridge. A Class A PGA member since 2012, Mike brings a tremendous set of skills and invaluable experience to Morningstar. In his spare time, he has also been very involved in coaching junior hockey. We couldn’t be happier he has chosen Morningstar to be his new “home”. If you have the chance, stop in to the Golf Shop and give him a warm, Oceanside welcome! Great to have you on team Morningstar, Mike!"

Wright Heads To Crown Isle
Posted by John Randle, Academy Director and Lead Instructor at Morningstar earlier this year, “Today was a tough day for Morningstar. @awgolfsolutions (Adrien Wright) worked his last shift before moving to Crown Isle. I’m going to miss him but know he will crush it at his new home.”

Other PGA members on the move:
Brayden Eriksen has left TaylorMade Golf and joins Pheasant Glen Golf Resort as an Apprentice Professional
Jared Siminoff has left Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community and joins the PGA of BC as a Class "A" Professional
Ryner Wilson has successfully completed the National Training Academy and becomes a Class "A" Professional at Nanaimo Golf Club

Congrats to Chris Wilson from Nanaimo Golf Club for making it into the PGA of BC Top 100 at position #54. Introduced in 2013, the PGA of British Columbia Professional Development Program (PDP) is an annual Order of Merit designed to recognize members of the Association who have shown a tremendous contribution to the Association, the industry, and mostly importantly, themselves.
