International Golf Artist Is In Residence At Highland Pacific

By Jeff Sutherland

Not many facilities can say they have their own painter, but Victoria-based Ed Araquel has done some amazing watercolours of the course...

Araquel has a relationship with Highland Pacific that goes back a number of years. In 2017, he donated a framed painting to the Jeneece Place Tournament, which was held there that same year.

As well as the watercolour that he recently completed of the Highland Nine’s par-3 ninth, Ed also previously did a painting of the Highland Nine’s fifth hole (shown at the top of the article) as well as a view up Olympic View’s 18th toward the Clubhouse (shown below).

Highland Pacific’s general manager Jeff Palmer was pretty excited to see Ed’s newest work and in a post on Facebook said that Araquel, “Came through with another AMAZING painting of our course.”
