From The Fringe: Golfer Takes Sign To Heart
When Arbutus Ridge put up this sign on their practice fairway, they were not really expecting people to follow the instructions so closely...
Jess D.W. Atmore, the Superintendent at Arbutus Ridge recently put up a sign explaining the correct way to take divots.
One golfer, however, took the idea of the “line” approach literally a little too far making a single line about 20 feet long.
Atmore was not too fussed saying on Twitter, “Someone read the sign! Now that I know the signs work, my next one is going to say: ‘Move up to the forward tees if you shoot 110 from the whites every day.’”
Earlier in the month, he gave a shout-out to a golfer he ran into who had an attachment that turned a 5-iron into a bunker rake, “In a world that’s rapidly going to !#$&, there’s a few good people left. This guy made my whole week with this thing. Yes, I paid him back.”
