Crown Isle’s New Launching Pad

Now you can use an elevated tee box on their tenth hole…

Crown Isle has added a tee box on top of their snack shack giving players a little height advantage in trying to reach this par five green in two.

In their April newsletter, they said, “We opened the Launch Pad tee deck on top of the Sandwedge on Friday, April 2, 2021, and had four special guests hit the inaugural tee shots off the elevated tee box. A huge thank you to Jan Bain (Ladies Net Champion), Ken Kostiuk (Oldest Founding Member), John Robertson (Men’s Club Champion), and our new Head Professional  Jared  Siminoff  for  being  our  special  guests  today.”

In other tenth hole news, they have created a “dry pond,” which will be part of stormwater management for the course and the new Greystone subdivision. It is designed to hold water in the event of extremely heavy rainfall. Later in the year, they will add trees and other landscaping.
