Cordova Bay Turns 30 Still Making Upgrades

Since opening in 1991, Cordova Bay has continually tweaked and made upgrades...

And this appears to be slowing down as they enter its fourth decade of operation.

Most recently, Cordova Bay has upgraded what was known as their “Fitting Centre” and going forward it will be known as the “The Studio.”

The changes include a Foresight GCQuad launch monitor, fitting equipment from Callaway and PING, and an outstanding artificial putting surface for indoor training sessions.

On the tweaking side, they are also adding new copper tees on holes #2, #3, and #17. All going well, all tee decks will be ready to go sometime in mid-April. Also, during a four-day closure in early April, some additional cart path repairs will be completed as well as the aeration and overseeding of all tee boxes with a new variety of bentgrass that is disease-resistant, drought-resistant, and shade-resistant. This variety, called Crystal Blue Links, will help improve the quality of the playing surfaces on our tee boxes year-round.
