The 20-year-old Duncan native recently earned 2021 Mackenzie Tour status via a 5th place overall finish in the 2020 Canada Life Series...

Davison’s achievement was the result of two second-place finishes in the two series stops at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in September, preceded by a sixth-place result at Bear Mountain back in August.

The Canada Life Series was a set of tournaments held in Victoria and Toronto intended to give players a chance to compete during the COVID shutdown.

In an Instagram post, Callum commented on his strong results, “Had a solid two weeks down in Toronto for @pgatourcanada. Lost by 1 in both events. Tough to fall just short but happy with how I played. Glad to finish [in the] top 5 overall on the points list for the #canadalifeseries to gain status for next year. @westinbearmountainresort @tpc_toronto thanks for having the courses in such good shape. Thanks @cowichangolfclub @adidasgolf @chriswalkeygolf @taylormadegolf @thepalmsgc for the support.”

The cross-handed golfer actually opted to turn down a full scholarship to play golf for the University of Nevada in Reno back in 2018 in favour of turning pro.

Davison then earned conditional status for the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada in 2019 through qualifying school at Courtenay’s Crown Isle Golf Resort.

In an interview with the Lake Cowichan Gazette in 2019, Davison’s father explained the decision to turn pro, “At the end of June, having just turned 18, he decided to turn pro and hasn’t looked back since... With his unique swing and competitive nature, Callum knew the path he was going to take.”
